i-Images
How can a set of images provoke a deep thought? David Wong and Danah Henriksen coined the idea that an image can spark thinking...in other words, an i-Image is "a professional, provocative image that seizes the viewer's attention and, more importantly, sparks their imagination." Here's mine...do you understand it?
Understanding student understanding is crucial to a teacher's work. How will teachers know what students actually understand if they don't evolve in how they capture student thinking? What if the way in which they're asking students to show their understanding is disconnected from how students are capable or wanting to communicating this to us? What happens when the tide shifts and a connection is made?
Each of the i-Images showcases ways in which understanding can be sought after: a paper and pencil test, a set of pictorial directions, a technological challenge or a puzzle. Which way captures your interest in understanding what it means to understand?

i-Video
The goal of the i-Video assignment was to create a 2-3 minute video that explains my ImagineIt project idea to YOU with a creative hook! My project idea is to explore multiple forms of assessment to develop performances of understanding for my students. I used Windows Movie Maker and learned the joys of setting up a makeshift camera holder with odds and ends around my house. Enjoy!
i-Images Revised
After careful reflection and feedback, I decided to revise my i-Images to depict my project more clearly. Take a look!
