I'm excited to be teaching 6th and 8th grade science at Louisville Middle School in the Boulder Valley School District! We've spent the last week + getting to know one another, engage in some team-building but science related activities, and establish some great classroom community! We created hoodies to represent ourselves, did some cup-stacking without our hands, developed models to explain our thinking behind the contents of some mystery tubes, and solved some puzzles with more evidence!

We also spent significant time developing our norms, focused on four key areas:
1. Respect
2. Equity
3. Being Committed to Our Community
4. Moving our Thinking Forward
We thought about each of our "Beginning of the Year" activities and how they helped us think about our classroom's routines. Each of our norms is in student-friendly language!
