Fifth graders are acting like true scientists. They're sharing the evidence they've collected from multiple tests to help identify the mystery chemicals. For example, they might say that the red chemical dissolves in water, turns brownish black when exposed to heat, and smells like caramel. Groups shared in a round-robin format Mrs. Brinza called Group-Switch, so that each student had a chance to listen and to speak. We are so much closer to identifying the chemicals! |

Mrs. BrinzaWe always practice safe science in our room. We wear goggles to protect our eyes, never touch anything that is unsafe, and keep the aisles clear so we can freely and safely move around the room. Archives
