From all our investigations going on in our classroom that are helping us figure out what happens to dead stuff, we've been figuring out a LOT!
It seems like the dead plants ARE disappearing. They're certainly not at the same levels they were at the beginning. We're thinking the worms (or crickets) may have something to do with it, so we generated some new questions for our DQB:

We set out to answer our questions with some research and a home gardener's take on worms. We figured out a lot and decided to model our findings in partners, coming to consensus as a class after we met in a scientists circle:
We're starting to see some patterns around this idea of "disappearance" with the living organism getting bigger and the dead organism getting smaller. We think we have some figuring out to do with that white stuff that's appearing.
And this was crazy to see, but not only did fuzzy stuff appear, but so did some new plants and worms!!! WHAT IS GOING ON? We thought we were trying to figure out how things disappeared, not how they appeared!!!
