How does the mass of an object affect how fast it falls? As third graders are exploring forces in more depth, they are discovering what happens when objects that have different masses are dropped from the same height. Will they reach the ground at different times? The same time? Why? Alongside forces, they'll be looking at planning an investigation. Is it really a fair test if we drop them from different heights?
