We came back after winter break with heavy hearts due to the Marshall Fire, however, we also saw a need to return to normalcy. So we launched our next unit, focusing on some pretty interesting videos Mrs. Brinza found on YouTube.
We saw lots of interesting things in the videos, and could even relate to a pretty bad hail storm a couple years ago that left lots of damage for students' families! |
After developing initial models individually, we came together in a scientist's circle to try and come to consensus. There was lots of conversation about precipitation, the wind before and after the storm, and how the temperature was possible changing because "How on earth do you get frozen ice falling from the sky when it's so warm?"
