From our discussion today, we came to consensus on the following things:
1. The Earth rotates in order to make the Sun "appear" to rise and set.
2. Light is ALWAYS shining on the Earth. The part of the Earth that is lit up experiences day, and the part not lit up experiences night.
3. Sunrise and sunset are what we experience as we go from the dark side to the light side and vice versa.
Students wanted to make a video (to the left) to show this, so we attached Mrs. Brinza's phone to the globe and spun it around while the sun stood still.
